Somatic Psychotherapy & KAP

Hi there. Therapy should be a supportive place for you to explore your relationships and learn how to be a better human. If you are interested in change – you’ve come to the right place.

I offer somatic psychotherapy as well as Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Both of these modalities work well to help process trauma, relate differently to your current challenges, and bring about a truer and deeper expression of self into the world. There are no quick fixes in healing yourself, but together we will work on helping you to enjoy this transformative process. I also have a co-therapist, my rat terrier/boxer mix named Huxley. If you are allergic, please let me know.

Education and Training: Well, my path to psychotherapy followed a circuitous route. I have a BA in Theatre from San Francisco State. I loved acting and creating with a team of people. I hated always having to look for a job! So I took a break from that and started teaching English in Spain and Ecuador. I spent some time working in Information Technology for an investment bank in San Francisco. I then got tired of the corporate culture and went to live at Esalen Institute in Big Sur for a bit. Learned about massage, Gestalt therapy, ecstatic dance, and myself. I took those bodywork skills and ran with that for about 20 years – that was a lot of fun and also very tiring! I knew I wanted to drop in deeper with folks and finally got my courage up (and money!) to go back to school and get my master’s in psychology. I focused on somatic psychology because I understood how important it is to incorporate the body when trying to work through trauma. I’ve recently (since 2020) been working with Ketamine as a new modality to help my clients to process trauma in a less defended state. It’s been amazing to see my clients make some big gains very quickly and I’m so glad for this medicine. So that’s a little about me.

I know this website is pretty basic, my apologies. My web site crashed and I had to put this together rather quickly. I’ll improve it, but to be honest, I do hope you’re looking for someone who’s maybe a bit stronger on the personal skills than technical. I’m really better in person, I promise. Go ahead and contact me if you think you would like to learn more.
